7 Habits for Families: The Next Level in Family Engagement

The Ladder of Family Engagement reflects “Leading” as the top rung of the ladder. Parents engaged at this level support their child and other children though school efforts. Now, “Leading” can also mean creating a peer learning environment to support other parents too! Parent-led 7 Habits for Families workshops provide a dynamic learning opportunity that equips families to strengthen relationships and reduce stressors! Offering 7 Habits for Families strengthens the school-home connection which improves outcomes for children and creates social networks for families that naturally encourage family engagement with schools.

Objectives:

• Learn about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families Online Certification that is now available as a benefit of Leader in Me Membership.

• Identify and articulate the win-win of offering the 7 Habits for Families in Leader in Me schools.

• Learn tips for selecting the right parents to serve as facilitators.
