The experiences of educators applying the Leader in Me initiative to their classrooms

The purpose of this exploratory analysis was to better understand the most common experiences of educators applying the Leader in Me process in their classrooms. Results revealed these to be:

• Positive changes in their approach to teaching based upon the integration of the 7 Habits.

• Positive changes in the classroom culture when using the common leadership language.

• An increase in students taking charge of tasks, as well as a noted increase in students taking responsibility for themselves.

The teachers felt the professional development offered through Leader in Me training’s was essential in successfully implementing Leader in Me in their classrooms.
