What We’re Reading: Character Matters

Science is finally catching up to what educators and parents have known for decades – that students succeed in life by developing not only academic skills, but by also developing character skills. Researchers at the Center on Children and Families at the Brookings Institution released a study this week, which determined non-cognitive life and character skills matter as much to success in life as academic skills.

The question is, “How can our education system make developing non-cognitive life and character skills as central to education as academic skills?”
