Betsy Wierda inspires and encourages audiences across the country with humor and experience-inspired insight. She is expert in the areas of literacy, goal setting, trust building, student behavior, and at-risk strategies.

Betsy has served in a variety of meaningful and exciting leadership positions. She is currently a Senior Consultant and Educational Coach at FranklinCovey. She has been a teacher, principal, professional development director, and keynote speaker around the country with a variety of audiences.

Betsy is educated and balanced. She is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, The Weaver Executive Leadership Cadre, and serves on the Ponte Vedra Arts Council and Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Literacy Coalition at Grace Place for Children and Families. She holds an undergraduate degree in music and specific learning disabilities, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and she continues to refine her doctoral dissertation at the University of North Florida. She loves to read, jog, and spend time with her bulldog, Gus, and her four beautiful granddaughters.

Betsy will delight your audience with real-life situations (Title I schools, urban children and teachers, etc.). Her strengths lie in team building, literacy, and best practice instruction. Her mission is simple: to develop courageous leaders!
