The FranklinCovey LiM Executive Coach Training Program (LiMECTP) is designed to provide fundamental coach training aligned with the International Coach Federation (ICF) to those in the education arena who want to maximize the power of coaching in their school districts.

LiMECTP is a comprehensive coach training program that requires full commitment up front.  The program delivery occurs over a one-year period through a series of three modules as follows:

Module 1, FOUNDATIONS

Course is delivered in person at the FranklinCovey Corporate Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Course Objective:

Training educators in the basic paradigm of coaching such that they understand the process itself, the role of the coach and the client, and the appropriation of consulting when necessary. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Know how to set the stage for a strong relationship (Co-Creation).
  • Confidently navigate setting a strong little agreement with a client.
  • Have a basic understanding of how to use the three communication tools of coaching.
  • Know how to shift from a coaching to a consulting moment and back.
  • Apply practical tools that support the client’s growth and success.

Module 2, FORMATIONS

Expanding the ability of educators to coach according to competencies defined by the ICF.  By the end of Module 2: Formation, participants will be able to:

  • Observe and identify evidence for the 11 core competencies.
  • Have greater awareness of and proficiency in the coach approach paradigm.
  • Demonstrate increased skill level in competencies Setting the Agreement, Coaching Presence and Creating Awareness.
  • Demonstrate appreciation for the formation of the coach and the formation of the client in the process.

Module 3, SKILL BUILDING

Course is delivered live via a conference call tele-bridge line.

Course Objective:

Participants will be able to coach at the International Coach Federation ACC level by the completion of this module.

Total hours of program:  Upon successful completion of the training program participants will earn 64.5 hours of coach training.  In addition, participants will accumulate ten hours of mentor coaching.  Seven hours are delivered in a group format and three are delivered via individual sessions.

Allowable Absences:  The program allows up to a total of four absences. Click here for absentee policy details.

Q&A:

Does the program include mentor coaching?  Yes. Ten (10) hours of mentor coaching are included within this training program. Please note absentee policy for makeup of missed mentor coaching hours.

What happens if I miss more than four hours?  Participants will not be able to complete certification and would need to attend a future cohort for the necessary amount of time in the respective module.  However, observed coaching sessions cannot be made up, so participants must ensure that they have achieved the necessary five hours of observed coaching in order to receive certification.

Can I attend the live coaching via video conference?  Pre-approval for video conference attendance is required and only made available under specific circumstances.

Is this an ICF accredited program?  The accreditation is in process.  Anyone who has taken the previous course will receive ACSTH credit for the course upon approval.  If application to ICF is filed prior to ACSTH approval, the candidate would need to apply via the portfolio path.

Do I become credentialed with ICF by taking this program?  While the program certifies a coach through FranklinCovey, it does not credential the coach through ICF.  Upon completion of the LiMECTP, the participant is responsible for applying to ICF for the relevant credential.

How much does this Executive Coach Training Program cost?  The cost for this 64.5 hour training is $9200.

Is there a refund for the course?  There are only 15 slots available for each cohort which cannot be backfilled once a course begins.  As a result, refunds are pro-rated based on the date of cancellation.

  • If cancelling 1 month prior, 75% refund
  • If cancelling 1-3 weeks prior, 25% refund
  • If cancelling 1 week prior or less, there is no refund.

Where is training held?  FranklinCovey Corporate Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Address and directions provided upon registration.

Who pays for travel expenses?  Participants are responsible for covering all travel expenses including airfare, transportation, food and hotel accommodations.

When is the next cohort going to begin?  We do not post dates in advance.  The cohorts begin in September of each year and fill quickly.  If you have interest in joining the next cohort, please email Shelly Rider, [email protected].  You will placed on a wait/notification list.
