We invite you to join us for a complimentary condensed summer session of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Renowned as the world’s premier personal leadership development offering, the new 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Signature Edition 4.0 aligns timeless principles of effectiveness with modern technology and practices.  No matter how competent a person is they will not have sustained and lasting success, unless they are able to effectively lead themselves, influence, engage and collaborate with others and continuously improve and renew their capabilities.

These elements are at the heart of personal, team and organizational effectiveness. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® Signature Edition 4.0 is the proven personal leadership operating system. It develops leadership effectiveness at three levels:

1. INDIVIDUAL

• Develop increased maturity, greater productivity, and the ability to manage one’s self.

• Execute critical priorities with laser-like focus and careful planning.

2. TEAM

• Increase team engagement, morale, and collaboration.

• Improve communication skills and strengthen relationships.

3. ORGANIZATIONAL

• Create a framework for developing core values and creating a highly effective culture.

• Develop current and high-potential leaders that model both competence and character.

Matt and his wife Annie recently celebrated 30 years in education. Matt is a former special education teacher and spent the majority of his career as an elementary principal. Under Matt’s leadership, Kellison Elementary and Stanton Elementary went from low performing schools to being named Top Ten High Performing Schools in the State of Missouri by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Matt was selected in 2004 by Rick DuFour as one of the first 20 leaders to build the Professional Learning Communities movement with Solution Tree.

Stanton Elementary partnered with Franklin Covey in 2008 to teach the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to students and together they designed a Leader in Me school. Stanton was named the #18 Lighthouse School in the world in 2011. In 2013, Matt went on to lead a second Leader in Me school, Wren Hollow Elementary.

Matt is a St. Louis Distinguished Principal, a Missouri Distinguished Principal, past President of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals, past President of the Missouri Council of School Administrators, and currently works with a variety of organizations on individual and team leadership.

Matt’s wife, Annie, is a former Leader in Me Middle School principal at Parkway West Middle and they have three kids – Kate, Grace, and Matthew. If you talk to any school or school district that has hosted Matt, you will learn quickly they know his family because of the Life-School integration he models throughout his facilitations.

“Be patient with yourself. Self-growth is tender; it’s holy ground. There is no greater investment.”

– Stephen Covey
