Each Core level begins with a Lighthouse Team Training and then a full staff training. From there, you can select the amount of implementation coaching that best fits your needs and budget. We have combined the participant guides for the Lighthouse Team throughout the three years of Core, reducing your materials cost significantly.
Lighthouse Team Workshops establish the team that will lead your schoolwide implementation, and helps them create their annual implementation plan. During Lighthouse Team workshops the members of the Lighthouse Team learn how to support staff in the new learning for that level, how to organize Action Teams, and how to be effective leaders among their peers.
Full Staff Workshops equip your teachers and non-teaching staff members with new learning about how to implement Leader in Me. Each full staff workshop focuses on specific elements of the Leader in Me Framework and each builds on the last.
Previously, we targeted leadership, culture, and academics one at a time over the course of the first three years. Under the new model, each training combines elements of all three. This more balanced implementation approach ensures you won’t have to wait to start seeing results from areas across all three columns of the Leader in Me Framework.
Core Coaching helps your school implement the content from the workshops, deepens the new learning, and advances progress on achieving your targeted results.

When you purchase advanced coaching levels, the first two coaching days are Core Coaching, and the remainder can be additional Core Coaching, Targeted Coaching sessions that dial in on your highest priority outcomes or greatest areas of need, or custom coaching.

Both serve as opportunities to continuously reflect and progress monitor on the areas of focus identified in your Plan for Success Implementation Excellence Call. However, the Core and Impact Journey Coaching days also target that new content specifically, with your coach working to deepen your staff’s learning in these areas and support the successful implementation of the concepts across your building or campus
Think of your Implementation Excellence calls as an opportunity to get a birds eye view of your progress towards achieving your target outcomes and your Lighthouse Certification, and your Core Coaching as a micro-level view of the strategies and methodologies you’ll use to get there.

That’s where your School Membership package really has a chance to shine. As you’ve probably heard by now, the new Leader in Me didn’t just lower the cost of school membership, we also bulked up the offerings! This includes an entirely revamped and re-envisioned Leader in Me Online, where new staff can complete the Core courses and returning staff and Lighthouse Team members can revisit Core any time they feel like they might need a refresher.

Also included in the annual school membership are three Implementation Excellence Coaching Calls with your FranklinCovey Coach. These are in addition to the coaching that comes with the Core (or Impact Journey) level you select.
This first call is where your coach, your administrator, and your Lighthouse Coordinator(s) preview the upcoming Core (or Impact Journey) trainings, review and reflect on the MRA data to determine areas of focus for the year, and set the coaching touchpoints to ensure you’ll progress smoothly to those target outcomes.
These calls are opportunities for formative assessment and and progress tracking. Your coach, administrator, and Lighthouse Coordinator(s) will review the action plan that was implemented following the planning call and Core workshops, assess the results and progress towards Lighthouse Certification, and determine the next steps to get your measurable results.
